EGREED ID privacy — your data, your control
Understand what personal data EGREED ID stores, adjust privacy settings, review data collection, download your data, delete data, and delete your account.

Personal data
- Identity: name, email, phone, profile photo, language, country
- Security: password hash, MFA methods, passkey public keys, backup-code hashes
- Activity: sign-in events, device and session metadata, consent records
- Commercial: plan, billing contact and payment references (never full card numbers)
Privacy settings
Privacy → Settings controls profile visibility, discoverability by email or phone, marketing communications, personalisation, analytics participation and AI training opt-out.
Data collection
EGREED ID collects the minimum needed to authenticate you, secure your account, meet legal obligations and bill correctly. We do not sell personal data.
Download your data
Privacy → Download your data generates a machine-readable archive (JSON and CSV) of your identity, security and activity records, delivered by secure link within 24 hours and valid for 7 days.
Delete your data
You can clear login history, remove devices, revoke connected apps and delete individual profile fields without deleting the account itself.
Delete your account
- Open Privacy → Delete account.
- Re-authenticate with your password or passkey.
- Review which EGREED products and data will be affected.
- Confirm deletion — a 30-day grace period begins.
- After 30 days, data is permanently erased apart from records law requires us to retain.
Legal compliance
EGREED ID complies with Rwanda Law N° 058/2021 on the protection of personal data and privacy, and aligns with GDPR principles of lawfulness, minimisation, accuracy, storage limitation and accountability. Data-protection enquiries: privacy@egreedtech.org.

Yes. Privacy → Download your data creates an export archive of your identity data, delivered by secure link within 24 hours.
Can I delete my data?
Yes. You can delete individual items such as login history and connected apps, or request full account deletion.
How do I delete my EGREED ID?
Privacy → Delete account. You re-authenticate, confirm, and the account enters a 30-day grace period before permanent deletion.
Does EGREED sell my data?
No. EGREED Technology does not sell personal data to third parties.
Is EGREED ID compliant with data protection law?
Yes. EGREED ID complies with Rwanda Law N° 058/2021 on personal data protection and aligns with GDPR principles.
Where is my identity data stored?
In Rwanda by default, with optional regional replication for enterprise customers who require it.
What are connected applications?
Third-party or EGREED apps you have authorised to access parts of your account through OAuth 2.0 scopes.
How do I revoke an app's access?
Open Connected apps, select the application and choose Revoke access. Its tokens stop working immediately.
